The Basic Court in Mitrovica has ordered a one-month detention measure for the defendant B.R., who is suspected of stabbing the victim B.M. in the head, on the left side of the ribs, and in the back of the chest.
The news was confirmed for KALLXO.com by Hateme Haxhaj, spokesperson for the Mitrovica Court, who announced that the suspect is charged with the criminal offenses of attempted murder and unauthorized ownership, control, or possession of weapons.
“According to the ruling dated 19.07.2026, the defendant has been assigned a detention measure for a duration of one (1) month, which will last from 18.07.2026 to 18.08.2026,” Haxhaj stated.
According to the Basic Prosecution in Mitrovica, the suspect intentionally sought to deprive the victim B.M. of his life by stabbing him in the head, on the left side of the ribs, and in the back of the chest.
As a result of these actions, as reported by the Prosecution, the victim suffered serious bodily injuries and is currently hospitalized in the Thoracic Surgery department at the UCCK.
